Kate seemed tired when she settled next to Abby on the sofa, kissing her tenderly before slumping in the seat, exhausted. Her blue-brown eyes shut as she brushed her dark brown hair off her face. Her dress was an ice-blue and crumpled as she lay with her head in Abby’s lap, letting the Goth stroke her hair and soon slipped into sleep, her Christmas Eve was done and she was likely to wake early so Abby left her sleeping, carefully carrying her to the bedroom and setting her on the bed before curling next to her.
