Farewell To An Angel.

The news had spread slowly at first, Charlie clearly unwilling to acknowledge that he had finally lost an Angel, really lost her. Kelly Garrett had been the one to know first, she had stayed in touch with Kris Munroe since the agency closed and had been the one to go to her when she was needing support.

Jill’s death had shocked the younger woman into silence, Kelly’s own silence a little more thoughtful before she took over the phone duties, leaving Kris time to think and absorb the shock. She had started by calling Bosley into town, then Sabrina, not daring to call in those who hadn’t known Jill. Julie and Tiffany had gone along anyway thanks to a phone-call from Charlie himself, asking them to go, to help the others say goodbye.

The large room had been emptied to allow the small group their goodbyes, Bosley took his chance first, shaken but firmly strong and working hard to gain the strength to say goodbye, he was followed by Julie and Tiffany, the two who had only met Jill the once or twice, both women serenely thanking the woman for her kindness when they had met before they too moved on. Kelly had approached with Kris, keeping an arm around the smaller woman as support, the two clearly pained as they said goodbye, Sabrina moving up last, taking a small breath before saying goodbye.

“Goodbye Angel.” The thought had been there the entire time and as one the three Angels who had known Jill the most said their goodbye, their last goodbye.
